Orphans International Worldwide and Manhattan Promotions are hosting a design competition and fashion show fundraiser in New York City Wednesday, November 19th from 6:00 to 9:30 at Ultra!

Judges include Project Runway stars along with NYC celebrity photographers and fashion designers. Limit of 300 pre-pays and walk-ins, so reserve your spot now!

Fashion Show

Ultra is an amazing place for a fashion show party and we have received lots of valuable raffle and auction items for this event!

Both amateur and professional designers have donated custom tee's to be modeled and sold in silent auctions to benefit orphans devastated by recent hurricanes in Haiti.

The competition will be judged by a panel of NY stylists and fashion industry experts, which includes:

  • Alison Kelly of Dahl by Alison Kelly, Project Runway Designer, Season 3
  • Shannone Holt, model from Project Runway, Season 5
  • Fashion Designer Raquel Urriola of Lola's Rags NY
  • Tomaas, High Fashion Photographer
  • Polina Raygorodskaya of Polina Fashion LLC
  • Celebrity Photographer Ken Browar

Entertainment provided by Project Runway alumni Alison Kelly and Shannone Holt. Some supporters of the event include: Stussy, Artivist, Tee Fury, Loiterink and USA tees & NYC Boutique Apollo Braun.

Raffle Prizes

Raffle prizes from fashion houses MadisonHarding, Helena Fredriksson the Hazel Brown Collection, Sol de Ibiza, Asics and JFandson. Eileen Fisher has given a $250 gift card. Colcci Brazilian has donated jeans. JTE Spirits is donating bottles of Cognac for auctions.

When You Arrive

We look forward to seeing you as we have a great evening supporting this cause!

Show up early to avoid the expected longer lines later. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our organizer team. The team will help with introductions throughout the evening - we have fantastic and friendly members who love socializing!

Who Will Be There

There will be a very international crowd for this event! Multiple social charity Meetup groups will be in attendance, including groups for wine, nightlife, Europe, travel, and film and fashion. In addition, we are expecting a lot of attendees with fashion and design backgrounds.

Dress Code

The dress code is business casual or trendy attire - no t-shirts, sneakers or shorts. The club will be enforcing a strict 'dress-to-impress' code to get in. If security considers your attire inappropriate for an upscale wine social, you will NOT be admitted.

About Ultra:

This 3500 sq foot Chelsea club is known for its innovative decor and multimedia surroundings.

From the Zagat review:

This 'cool' new Chelsea 'bottle-service club' rolls out all the bells and whistles of high-end, 'high-tech' nightlife (soaring ceilings, leather seating, theatrical lighting) and ups the ante with aromatherapy technology, a snow-making machine and specialty mixers (mint lemonade, passion fruit soda); a rear mezzanine done up as an abstract take on a 'tree house' is reserved for the inevitable VIPs.

From the Clubplanet review:

A posh Manhattan nightclub with no door drama and reasonable prices? Impossible? Thank Tommy Tardie (of Fuelray fame) for his latest brainchild. ULTRA is 3500 sq.ft. of spectacular space complete with scent machines, snow machines, a 100 ft. projection wall and mind altering kinetic lighting.

DRESS CODE

The dress code is dress to impress - no jeans, shorts, sandals, or baseball hats. Guys, collared shirts only. You will be sent to the closest J Crew otherwise!
